Cutlass bearing tight when out of water?

Hi, everyone.

I just moved my boat from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale, and it's on jackstands now for work.

I notice that, when turning the prop by hand, the cutlass bearing is tight and makes a squeaking noise. Is this normal?

I'm guessing that it is coz it's water lubricated and now there is no water in it, right? ...or do I have a new problem?

Pour a quart of water o n the shaft while turning it, it should rotate smoothly .
If not, further checking is in order.
