This was a problem on our 34, and did not bother us on our 36, until 2 weeks ago. in a slightly swaying anchorage or marina, our internal halyards now clank inside the mast. did i just not notice this before....or does hearing improve with age? I am not sure what might have been keeping them quiet in the past, or if a clip or something that holds them is loose.
Any thoughts would be appreciate.

If it the halyards or other wiring?
Halyards seem to have a softer thud and wires have a sharper clank.
If it is halyards, just tighten then.
If it is wires , good luck and have then rerun next time you take the mast down.

Richie I put a second tube it the mast to hold the extra wires that weren't there before. Took care of 90% of noise. Could run halyards in if needed. Only issue I've had is finding broken rivets in mast after a few years. I did this my self when mast was down.
