Hi,
I have some 12volt fans to install. I have no problem with the wiring of the fans. What I was wondering, are there any special techniques or tips other owners can offer on the Catalina wiring techniques or wire paths.
Do they use draw strings? I want to add a fan in the forward and aft cabins, and two in the main cabin.
Thanks
Simon

Simon,
Older boats didn't have them, but newer Catalinas have wiring conduits glassed in during construction. They are white PVC pipes, and often run the length of the boat. Sorry, I don't know the 375, but I'm guessing that if you look around, you will find them. You might also find draw strings already installed. I've attached a picture from a late model 36 showing what they look like. You might want to check in your Owner's Manual. It might have a diagram of the conduits (chases). Hope this helps.

We have an '86, made before those conduits. I kinda like it without them. I can trace and label wires and can support them properly without having them all "ganged up" insider conduits. Your boat, your choice. Just get the right tools for the job: ratcheting crimper and insulation remover (yeah, there's a right name for it, but I'll be darned if I remember it!:)).

Stu, how could you forget a name like "stripper?" ;) (as in 'wire stripper')
