Its winter storage time on the Great Lake. I've searched the boat and can not find a sail bag for the main sail. Could someone tell me what size you use. Its a standard rig.
I was reading thru the manual for the Universal M35B on how to winterize the engine. In it they state the propeller shat should be disconnected from the transmission at the coupler due to alignment issues when the boat is on the hard. I'm wondering how many owners actually do this or make sure it's done?

No quick answer on the first question.
I've never heard of the recommendation for disconnecting the prop shaft for winter lay-up, but if you do so, make sure when you bolt it back together that the bolts are torqued up, with lock washers (and locktite wouldn't hurt as well). Don't ask me how I know!

I have also heard this as a recommendation due to hull flexing on the hard. in addition they suggest you should only adjust prop shaft alignment after several days in the water. I followed this advise and found zero difference in tolerances wether on the hard or in the water. I think the real value of separating would be to prevent corrosion from binding the couplers together over time.

I saw that in the manual also. I don't think anyone ever does this.
As for the sail bag, maybe call your local loft. They would probably have an instant recommendation. I know Kent Sail around SE Michigan here knows Catalina 36's very well, and I'm sure could set you up with a bag.
