Port bulk head repair

Hello all

I recently purchased a 1997 36ft mkii.  I cannot wait to get her out sailing but the previous owner did not keep up with the chain plate bedding.

The port and eventually the starboard bulk heads will need to be replaced.  I am a marine woodworker by profession, so this project doesn't scare me.

I just wondering if anybody has ever done this before?  I can see a few cabinets have to come out and I've read the bulk head is two pieces.
I also want to keep the mast in place.  Boat is currently on the hard.  I was thinking of using a rope to secure the side stay to prevent any mast movement.

Thoughts

I reseated one of my chain plates last year in order to seal some leaks.  Not the center one, but the port forward one.  I believe that if you do them one at a time the remaining stays will support the mast with no issues.

We had the port side bulkhead replaced last winter due to some extensive rot.  The mast was removed.  (We wanted to  changed out all the wiring while it was out.)  It ended up being about 80 hours of labor.
