I noticed a small amount of smoke, like a wisp, comes out of my running engine between the Exhaust manifold and elbow. I tightened the clamp but it didn't help. Is there a gasket or something in this junction that needs replacing?

There is a gasket between the two that makes the seal when the V-Clamp is tightened. Not this first place I would guess it would leak Are you sure it's not leaking from the exhaust riser itself and just leaking out the end of the heat wrap. It is most likely your exhaust riser is corroded.
I just replaced my exhaust riser with one from Catalina Direct and it fit perfectly. I suggest ordering a new exhaust flange as I couldn't remove mine from the old riser.

Thanks for the reply.
Just replaced mine 3 seasons ago but I don't think I replaced the gasket. What flange do you mean?

Are you talking about the exhaust elbow clamp?

Here's a link to the exhaust flange but you would only need it if you are replacing the whole exhaust riser. Not sure what type of exhaust riser you went with but some of the DIY's can fail in as little as a year depending on the pipe used. The one I replaced is stainless and clearly the original from the factory. So roughly 14 years on it.

Thanks.
i got the stainless one directly from Catalina so hopefully will be ok. I'll replace the gasket and the clamp to be on the safe side and see how that works out.
