Composting Head C-Head Vs Others

All,
I am putting in a composting head.  I read the posts on here but i did not come to a conclusion on which unit to buy.
The natures head looks fancier and harder to empty, the airhead seems decent and the C-head seems really easy to empty.  Does anyone have a recommendation?  I read the C-head was cheaper but they must have gone up in price because they arent much cheaper.

I am leaning towards the c-head since it is easy to empty, doesn't require a vent if used for weekends or a week at a time, and comes in a shorter version so you don't need steps.  Having steps is not a deal breaker for me I would like the best fit in our boat.  I will say the original jabsco head is really awkward to sit on for me, but maybe they all will be?

Thanks
Mike

We installed a C Head shorty last December on our live aboard and are very pleased.   Very easy to empty. All I do is place a garbage bag over the top of the bucket and flip it upside down.  Done.  Takes about 15 seconds.  No smell. Nothing gross about it if I don't let myself think too much about it. We use coconut coir as medium which we buy at pet stores (used for reptile cage bedding).

My 5'3" first mate still uses a little step for comfort. Another tip:  in the photo below you can see a small spray bottle.  It holds water which we use in the urine catch after each use.  Simply gives it a little rinse/flush.

We expanded the base the toilet sits on with starboard. I first made a pattern from cardboard.

We also found that placing the head on an angle created more literal elbow room.  And, surprisingly, it looks great in the head as it sort of completes a "circle" given the angle of the door to the v-berth.

Thanks Dale!  I appreciate this.  looks like turning on an angle it gives the most room to the user.  I will probably do the same.

Mike,
Did you consider the Airhead Composting Toilet ?  It as a lot of very nice features.  They have a Marine Model.

I didn't know they had a marine model I will look into this.  I am leaning toward the c-head because it is so fast and easy to empty, and also smallest.
Thanks
