On my 1989 MK I curved cockpit aft lazerette, I'm missing something in the corners. Either weather stripping all around or some kind posts for the cover to rest on. What's there now in the corners is just a screw and washer on each side. Anyone with a photo would help. Thanks

Tad-
It's not entirely clear what you are looking for. Perhaps you could attach a photo or two. Do you have a walk through transom and a seat that is not adequatley supported?

Here is one. Its the screw in the corner.

Might that have been used to hold a helmsman seat in place?

Hi Tad,
What you have is exactly the same as my 1989 model #949. The screws are adjusted to position the seat level with the adjacent structure. There is no seal or weather stripping on mine either. Hope this helps.

Tad,
That screw used to hold in place a rubber grommet (bumper), to keep the lazarette lid from banging when it was closed. The rubber has long since rotted away. You could replace it with the same (it was roughly 3/4" in diameter), or glue some foam weatherstripping to the underside of the lid. Closed cell would be best. I think I had my daughter (very small at the time) get inside the lazarette and trace the edge of the lip on the closed lid with a pencil. That gave me something to line up the weatherstripping for a better fit. Hope this helps.

Tom,
Thanks for the info, it looks like the rubber washers on mine were knocked off by one of the two previous owners. Good idea to put the weather striping on the lid, its less likely to get ripped off putting things into or taking things out of the lazarette. Cheers
