Water in the galley dry storage locker

Got to the boat this weekend and found a considerable amount of water in the galley "dry" storage locker.  The only thing I can figure it that it must of backed up through the drain hole at the bottom of the locker.  I notice that the galley sink drains very slow.  When I use the foot pump to drain the fridge water backs up in to the sink.  I assume the dry storage drain is suppose to drain out of the galley sink through hull as well.  Has anyone else see this issue? I should say that I do run a dehumidifier that drains into the galley sink. think my lines are maybe just clogged with alge because when I pump the foot pump and it backs up in the sink it is pretty rank.

FWIW, my 2000 does not have a drain. You should be able to see that drain hose either from the settee or by taking a drawer out in front of the steps. And yes, the galley sink(s) drain very slowly! A pain to be sure.
The only thruhull we leave open when leaving the boat is the engine intake, (in case the marina has to move the boat in an emergency). I guess you have no choice with the dehumidifier running? Doesn’t that really heat up the interior? Just curious.

I'll have to remove the drawer and check it out next time I'm out to the boat.  Thanks for the suggestion. The dehumidifer does heat the interior a little. But nothing like the 95 degree summer does.  I'm thinking now that I will put a longer hose on the dehumidifier and just have it drain into the bilge. Bilge is never dry anyway. Any time it rains there is water in the bilge from the water coming down the inside of the mast.

Has anyone come up with a solution on the slow draining sink?

Thanks
