V Berth mattress/cushion

My port-side y v-berth mattress/cushion was ruined by squirrels this winter. Anyone have one to sell? Any option besides Catalina Direct at $900 for both sides?  I have a local guy who wants 500 for one. Suggestions welcome.
Thanks!

We sleep in the V-berth and use a 3" mattress topper on the standard foam pads and it sleeps pretty good. However - I am thinking of buying two twin memory foam mattresses and cutting them to fit the V.  The twins would allow me to move them easily when needing access to the storage below.  Not sure this would be much cheaper than the CD solution though,  If you are a DIYer - another member did an upgrade article where he converted his own innerspring mattresses to fit the V.

I have just bought replacement 4 inch foam closed cell pads for the vberth from Foam and Fabrics in east central LA. The cost was $160 amd they cut both pads using my existing pads as the template. I had to chamfer the hull side of both pads using a kitchen bread knife as they only cut right angles. I have a sewing machine and the new cover material from Joanne's Fabrics costs less than $50.  Total cost will be less than $250 including the new zips. I am going to replace all my saloon cushions this way and save thousands. Catalina quoted $6000 just for the replacement cushions for the main saloon ie dining and games table area of my Mk1. I will get it all done for less than 750.
