Stinky water

Hi all, I've asked this question previously but never followed up looking for a reply. Does anyone have 'stinky water', sort of like the sulfer water smell in Florida. It's on both hot and cold, but disappears after a few seconds. When winterizing my boat I dry the tanks and in spring run a mild bleach solution before regular use. When filling the tanks (usually weekly) I use a freshner solution. I'm thinking the source is the hoses from the tanks to the water heater and pump and will probably tackle replacing them when the boat is out of the water this winter. Has anyone else had this problem?

Our boat and hoses are 12 years old. We get that same smell when we haven't used the water for a day or so. It must be the water that lays in the hose because our tanks are very clean inside.

Could be either of two things:

1. Recommission your whole system. http://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,5836.0.html

2. User the HOT water faucets more often; I've gotten into the habit of using the hot water even if there is none, keeps the water moving through the heater.

I put about 2 tablespoons of baking soda in the tanks every time I fill them. Keeps them pretty odor/taste free. On occasion, I'll need to add a cap full of clorox if some critters get in there but not often; this year was bad but only did that twice.

I have a drinking water filter/faucet that filters out most everything, along with a household undersink filter that comes right off the intake manifold valves (before the pump). But still best to keep the water as clear of odors/contamination as possible.
