Ouch. Need to replace Bimini Frame

Hi all,

My hauler hit a low hanging tree while transporting my boat (yes the frame was folded down forward).  I was wondering if you folks may know a good source for these frames.  We really love our full enclosure in cold or rainy weather and don't want to spend the first part of the season without.

My my other question is whether I should hold the hauler responsible?   I went to go load up the boat with some stuff prior to launch and was surprised to see the damage.   I was most upset that he didn't even tell me.  Stay tuned.   Haven't had a conversation with him yet.

I would think the haulers' insurance should cover this type of liability so I'd "present" it to him.

Definitely, since these frames are often "one-offs" and the bimini top is patterned to the frame - so just bending a new frame may not result in a properly fitting bimini - may need to have the whole lot re-built...

You will need to contact your local canvas maker.

Yup....mines a one-off.  I had a guy come out and said it would be really difficult to match the frame to the existing Bimini and wrap around enclosure.   He quoted my $10,000 for a new system.    I don't think so!   Stay tuned.... Gotta couple other leads..   Good news is the hauler will cover the cost of the frame.
