Mattress Topper

Anyone have experience with "Tufted Topper" cushion overlays? This is the one where you pay up front, then they send a measuring/tracing kit. Would anyone recommend this?

I got one last year for the V-berth. It does make the foam cushions a bit softer and hides the gap between cushions. They send you this huge piece of brown paper to make a template and I was sure I messed mine up, but it fit like a glove. Works for me.

I purchased a memory foam mattress topper (3") and cut to shape. All toll cost around $75 and 25 minutes of time. Works like a dream.pun intended...

I had one in my previous boat and was pleased with it. If I didn't have any inner spring mattress in Carina I would have no problem getting again. No problem with the ordering and pre-pay, as mentioned above they send you a template that you return.

We purchased a Tufted Topper about three months ago for the vee berth and we are very happy with it. Take your time creating the template to ensure a proper fit.
The Topper is very well made and we expect to have it for many years though we do anticipate buying an inner spring mattress in a few years before we set off on long term cruising.

We purchased a Tufted Topper a few months back and are happy with the results. I feel that it has improved the sleeping comfort versus the cushions alone. We bought it for the aft berth and I didn't want the added height of the memory foam or mattress.
If you buy one, I highly recommend that you take the cushions home to draw the template...then take the cushions and the template back to the boat for a "dry run". Good luck.
