catalina 36 name plate

hi every one. i just recently bought my 36 and am trying to bring it back to life to original condition as posible. so if any one out there has the scripted catalina 36 name plate that is/was on the out side of the combing i would be very interested in purchasing one or both name and number. you can email me at jim@cmfprefinish.com thank you, jim

Jim,

Go to Catalina Direct www.catalinadirect.com and they have them there. Here's the direct link to the page: http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&cate...

Hope this helps

unfortunately, catalina direct does not sell the scripted name plate that was origanally on the model years 1982 thru 1987. they only sell the bold lettered type that came on the 1988 and newer models. most boats have lost at least one side if not both but im hopeing i can collect at least one set that i can have duplicated. the name was the same on all catalina 22,25,30,and 36s 1987 and older so if any one knows someone with one of those boats maybe you could pass on this request. thanks for your help, jim

May I suggest that if you find one you get the replacements made as vinyl decals instead of the actual plates - they will be much easier to clean around and will probably look better for longer.

I just took mine off - it's not hard to tell it's a Catalina!

thank you jason for the suggestion. i have considered that and may very well go that route. but haveing the origanal name plate is mostly to saticfy my O.C.D. tendencies not so others can tell its a catalina. LOL
