Hi everyone :-)
I devour sailing youtube channels as we learn to sail and I have been eager to find a channel featuring my own boat, a Catalina 36 MKI (1988), but seems I'm the only channel! If anyone knows of a channel featuring my boat I sure would appreciate it! I've been really hoping to find channels showing long voyages, Panama Canal, maybe even some circumnavigation. I know this boat is built for coastal cruising and I know there's plenty of short yet still serious passages in that realm so I really want to learn from others who may have documented their journey. I'm sure it's been done many times in this boat, but maybe just not video documented? Or maybe it's not popular enough to be discovered by simply internet searches that I've done. If anyone knows of a channel like that please advise!!
On a second question, someone once gave me a link to an very long online blog about a family from AK who outfitted their Cat 36 and sailed south, through the canal, and over to the Bahama's, perhaps further I can't remember. If someone knows of that I sure would appreciate that link again! I have tried to search for it and have failed to find it.
Thanks!

Well dang, I saw the title and got excited, but it is just you.... ;)
For the rest of the group, Sailing Endgame's channel is fantastic. Check it out https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0cUazl0xwYNmw7uDx7kMbA
@prestonrockstar I think I'd like to start one. I may hit you up for some tips.

Barefoot Travels...was also called Barefoot Sail and Dive were on a Catalina 36 for their first year. They went to the Bahamas. They have since moved on to a Catamaran, but that first season was fun to watch.

The one channel I know that features a cruising C36 is called "el viaje de Bohemia" and is made by an Argentinian couple. The videos are in Spanish though. I'll be sure to check out Sailing Endgame!

You can read all those links to post. I could probably tell you what they mostly say because I've gone over them again and again. But what I find more interesting is that you'll find folks who do lots of 'Blue Water' sailing in these boats. In fact, theres a guy in NZ who routinely would sail his up to Tahiti etc...And I just recently have been talking to 'Hydrovane' about a wind vane for my boat and the fellow there told me his friends just landed in NZ after having left the Pacific NW this spring. I believe that properly prepared and outfitted you'd be fine to take on some Oceans provided all the modern technologies, forecasting etc....just maybe not THE Horns and great Capes of the world.....

I bought my boat from a couple that did a blog at www.makelikeanapeman.com. Check 'em out. The boat is a little more racy instead of cruisy now, and she's won a few PHRF regattas in her class. It's been fun.
