Hi All
New member and 25 day old owner of a well-maintained 1987 C36 :-)
My boat has 4 tanks (1 black water; 3 fresh water) sadly none have tank monitors on them. PO had done
so many amazing improvements thus surprised he left this off his list LOL.
Can I route my monitor cable, from each tank, by removing the screws of the floor boards and just run
beam-orientation or do I have route all cables aft to stern and then starboard side to get to breaker panel?
I bought and will install this product, i like that its outside touch-sensor https://marinepartssource.com/levelguard-tank-monitor-200-three-tank-k.h...
also found youtube video of sample install and use.
thank you, in advance, for your guidance!
Fair winds,
Daniel
Kind Regards,

Welcome aboard!
There are holes to pass wires from the area under the nav table (pull out the bottom drawer) to the area under the sink (pull out the bottom of the 3 drawers that face the passageway). And there are also holes to pass wires from the under the engine compartment to the area under the sink. So you shouldn't need to pull up the floorboards. An electrician's fishing tape will be your friend here.
Good luck with the tank monitors. We installed a system (diffrent maker) some time ago and found it to be problematic to keep it running and calibrated; over time, we've largely abandoned it as we've developed an instinctive sense of the tank levels (e.g., when cruising for 2, the holding tank will last about a week, etc.).

Daniel - I'm going to take a guess that your new boat was formerly known as Polaris? (Our boat was on the hard in the College Point yard this winter as well, very close by to Polaris -- and we splashed the same week in early May).

Wow Matthew, yes it is! You must know Ed?. We were blessed to find such a quality Catalina after 1yr search for our next size-up.
My NJ buddy Joe (blue Tshirt) and his bro-in-law helped me May20 navigate back to Forked River NJ.
Thanks for your vessel photo I've been eyeing a swim-platform, will love to talk to you about it for 2022 launch season.
For now, she is ready for enjoyment. Didn't bother Ed but we had to address some leaks that happened after survey or was missed by the surveyor LOL. Shes good now. Sail lines and sails are well adjusted. We plan to rename her., in the coming weeks. I'm working wth Coast Guard to transfer documentation over to me.

Yeah, I've been on your boat once or twice over the years while it was in the yard for the winter (and nicked a few ideas from it, like the stern perch seats; never did get around to the expanded cabinets Ed added to the salon). Ed loved that boat and put quite a lot of work into it over the years (including having the topsides re-gelcoated, if I recall), so I think you did well. Enjoy!
As to the swim platform, go to these threads for details about measurements and the fabricator I used:

In hindsight, one of the nicest upgrades we've made over the years.
