Winterizing macerator pump

Has anyone tried to winterize macerator pump by using pink antifreeze poured DOWN the waste pump-out deck plate then turning pump on?

Thanks, Dave

I use Rich Lemiux's winterization check list.  It includes strps for head and macerator.  It has always worked well for me.

Make sure the holding tank is empty and then add a gallon of antifreeze through the pump dry setting on toilet and empty the tank again via the macerator pump. Never had an issue in the decades I've used this approach. Simpler than removing hoses.
