So ends another sailing season up in Canada, except BC. Wavelength was hauled last week and this weekend I will be putting the cover on her. High temp for saturday is 9C and winds from the North. I have a few projects scheduled this winter which include removing all of the hand rails inside and out and refinishing them. I am also removing the 3 Bomar cabin top hatches and having them sandblasted and powder coated.
Lots of other small projects as well to keep occupied for the winter.
Great summer for sailing on our C36.

That's sad. Next week I'm hauling briefly to clean the bottom for the start of the next race series.
My buddies left their boat in the water in Halifax last winter but said it was useless as no-one wanted to go sailing.

Now thats sad! We have just come out of winter, and I am disappointed that I only got out on the boat every second weekend. Winter here means wearing jeans and a jumper (sometimes a jacket on the cold days) :D
Hope the winter is not too long, and you can get back out on the water.

We came out on the 30th of Sept, a week early this year which sucks. Weather has been colder than normal so I guess no biggie. We spend a lot more time in spring getting her ready to launch than we do winterizing and putting on the covers, but spring time is so much better, lots to look forward to. We had a great year, spent 92 days on board that's a record for us.
Good for you, Bud!!! How is the Admiral doing?

Suz is doing very well Tom, thanks for asking. All the chemo treatments and surgery went far better than predicted and they say she has no measurable sign of the disease now. They are monitoring for signs of any recurrence by scans and blood CEA tests every 2-3 months. Not totally out of the woods yet and there's some side effects from chemo she will have to deal with forever, but we strongly believe she has a very good shot to be one of the people who beat this.
That's great news, Bud, sure glad to hear it. Stu

Thanks guys. I have to say the support we received from friends, family and in some cases total strangers has been just tremendous and it helps immensely.
