Cabinet Doors

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate post here; if not let me know.
My Catalina 36 is missing 2 cabinet doors: the center door and trim under the v-birth and one of the starboard louvered doors over the game table. I am missing the door closest to the nav station, but I think that both doors over the game table are the same size.
In any case, I was wondering if as the result of a renovation one might have one of these doors stuck in a garage and would be wiling to sell them? ( I have a call into Catalina, but didn' t sound very hopefull)

hi,
I can't think of the company's name but there is a custom manufacturer in California that will make those doors for you. I can check my invoices and post the name and number of the company later. I had some made and although they weren't cheap they did a good job. As a separate note the none of the doors are the same size, I had all of them replaced my boat is an '84 and had teak plywood panel inserts. i thought they would all be the same size and was surprised that they weren't. I'm surprised that catalina didn't direct you to them. I don't know if they still use them but they were the company that made ALL of the cabinets and door for them when the manufacturing plant was located there.
regards and I'll post the info on the company tmw.

Mike and Paul,
The name of the company in CA is H&L Marine Woodwork. I think that CY does their own woodwork now, but not 100% sure. Plus with the factory now in FL, shipping would be a lot more for them. I couldn't find a website for them, but I found this:

Tom,
yep, that's the company. I don't believe they have a website nor do they use email, at least that i'm aware of. If you call they will ask you to fax or mail your specs then they will provide you an estimate. I don't recall if they require anything down but they do a really good job. I'm going to be at the boat this weekend to complete the install of a new A/C. I'll take some pictures and post them on sunday to give you an idea of what they look like.
regards

Thanks Tom and Mike,
I know of H&L and in fact recently got a quote for a cockpit grate from them.
I'll give them a call and ask them about the doors.

I needed doors for a cabinet I built to replace the swivel chair at the navigation table last year. After I built flat doors, that I'm not particularly proud of, I discovered components to make louvered teak doors. The components are solid teak and look like they would make doors exactly like those in my boat.

If you are handy with tools, you might consider this route. The suppliers I have seen are Fisheries Supply in Seattle, whose teak parts are labeled Ultra Marine, and AFI/Marinco sold in many marine supply places.
