I'm trying to upgrade my Seaward Hillerrange stove with new grates and grate clips. Seaward doesn't show parts available on their website. I think I've found a source, but they don't have pictures. Does anyone know the model # of the stove we have? I looked all over the stove with no luck. It's the 2 burner propane and the grates have 6 "prongs" if this helps. Also, if you have a source for these grates, I'd be happy to try them too.

Have you called Seaward on the phone? I believe you can get a lot more help in person by phone than just browsing on their website. Each vendor does things differently. Some do great websites and no one answers the phone. Others just the reverse. Would be fun to gt someone who does both. Maybe we should start a list of the good ones who do both...:cool:

:D Well, it won't help to look at the stove, I tried that. However, maybe you have the original manual that came with the stove. My PO must have chucked mine. Problem is, I come up with these brilliant ideas after I've left the boat too.:rolleyes:

Good idea, Stu, I'll try that old fashioned phone thing. If I figure this out, I'll post the info. I can't be the only one with rusty old grates, however, I could be the only one who really cares.

I have the manual on the boat. The PO of Lucky kept a binder with everything that was done to her and all the manuals. Work has been killer this week (42 hours already and it is only Wednesday morning:mad:) but I plan to be on the boat Friday afternoon.

Have you checked the Tech Notes CD? There are pdf manuals on the CD for both the CNG and LPG Seaward stoves on the CD. I'm not sure about the details of your stove, but there are also exploded parts diagrams with numbers. I'm sure you could find your info there. Hope this helps.

Last year I decided to clean and repair the parts and the gas valves on my boat range.
I took all of the "guts" home for the winter.
I spent many evenings looking for a parts list for the range on our boats.
I concluded it is a Hillerrange Princess Stove.
I think this is what you are looking for.

OK Stu, you win again.:D I called Seaward and after a while of playing phone tag, I finally got through to them and the new grates and clips arrived today. If anyone wants them, the correct stove # is 2372 for the Princess stove on the MK I. The grates are about 15 bucks each and really improve the appearance of the stove.

Thanks Mike for calling Seaward. I am a bit late here but our stove is Model # 2122 SN# 50704 . Looks just like the one in the picture. Had it on a file as it something I have done with the whole boat. Have pretty much all my part number so if I am home I can still have access to them .

Fortunately for you, you joined C36IA as a 3 year member, which means you either have received or will receive shortly the Tech Notes CD. Just about every manual related to the C36 you can think of is on that CD. You don't have to go scrounging around! Smart decision!!!
