Checking Heating and AC Filters

We have owned Carpe Diem for less than a year and I have just gotten around to checking the filters on the heating and the AC unit onboard. I was amazed at how much dust and particles that I discovered on them. If you haven't checked them for a while I would suggest that you do so. All you have to do is just spray them down with water or a diluted cleaner and let them dry. I plan on cleaning them on a monthly basis from this point on; much the same way that you do on your home heating and ventilating system. The Admiral even commented, and you know what they say about momma being happy...

Shame on you :o

We keep the boat pretty clean and I am always amazed at the amount of dust that collects on the inlet to the A/C system. Ours is mounted in the cabinet over the drawers on the starboard side so it is pretty easy to get to and easy to see when it is starting to get dirty.

As for momma being happy.....don't go there....:(
