Trying to get my old AH4000 pilot to work. Discovered the bulkhead connector that the control unit plugs into is broken beyond repair. It is a 4 pin connector and they are not made any more, does anyone maybe have one?

Alex I had a 3000 that the plug failed on me I can't remember if it was 2or 4 pin i cut both ends out and replaced them. You might be better off finding a new 4 pin male/female set of connectors and replacing both the plug and socket ? There are some good water resistant connectors out there. See downwind marine.com dc connectors for example looks like there is a Wella 4 pin plug and base

Have you considered removing the connectors and splicing the wires?

Toms suggestion about a new connector may be the answer. I need to be able to unplug the control unit when not in use.

Alex, understood. Have you considered Radio Shack? I'm sure they have four, five, six to a gazillion pin connectors of all various shapes and sizes. Good luck.

This is a perennial problem: there don't seem to be many, or any, good, marine bulkhead connectors sets.
I have a retired AH4000, and had some trouble with the connector on that.
There's an ancient connector design still available:

May be your best option.
Thanks everyone for the input. Found a 4 pin connector at Svendsons Marine. Sea Dog #426234-1 did a temporary connect and every thing works!!
Have to learn how to use it now.

Thanks for the find, Alex. My connector is getting a bit dodgey and I have to wiggle it a bit to get it to stay connected. A bit unnerving when singlehanding not to know when Otto will suddenly decide to head to the beach.:eek:
