Hi,
Another leak has been found!
When opening and closing the engine cooling seacock, there is a little spurt of water out of the side of the valve, at a certain position. As it stops once the value is fully openned or closed, I have not worried too much yet.
Over the weekend, we were sailing into some small waves on the lake, with 20-25kn of wind, so we were healed over a far bit. I went down below to find heaps of water running across the cabin floor - like a cup or two.. I mopped it up and thought "were the hell is this water coming from!"
I thought - maybe the engine seacock is open and some water is getting in that way, so I closed the seacock and kept sailing. Later when I went below, the water was back. I sat in aft cabin, and watched the seacock. Water was coming in around the base of the seacock, when the boat would bang into a wave.
Ok, so I will take a better look at the setup next time I am on the boat, but it looks like there is a problem with the fitting.
Anybody had a similiar issue - or can recomend the best way to fix it?
Thanks
Simon

Do you have the OEM style Forespar Marelon seacocks? If so there is a little screw in the center of the handle and if that screw is loose you can get a little water out of it when opening/closing it. Check it out and see but this is just plastic so take it easy when you're tightening the screw. I changed a seacock and found out later that it was just the screw being loose that was causing the problem.
Thanks Bud,
Tightened up the screw, and the leak has gone. This also made me realise that I need a small mirror, so I can see inside these types of things (had to do it by feel).
Thanks for the help.
