How do you tell if you have a Tall Rig or a Stndard Rig Catalina 36 MKII.
I have tried to Catalina and get no response from them.
Any Ideas? I know I have a 150% Genoa, but that does not constitute a Tall Rig.....

CJ,
The easiest way to tell is to measure the boom. The boom on the tall rig is 1ft longer than the boom on the standard rig. I believe it is 14 ft, vs 13 ft for the standard, but I will need to look it up in the specifications to be sure.

The previous writer is correct but also the tall rig has a taller mast by around a foot. The tall rig Fin Keel is a fast boat. I have the Tall Rig Fin Keel

My recollection is the boom on the tall rig is 13ft vs 12 ft for the standard rig.

Duane is correct. The standard rig has a 12ft boom, the tall rig has a 13ft boom.
The mast is two feet taller, but a lot harder to measure. :)

Right, the tall rig is 52' - 2" (end-to-end) with a 13 ft boom and the standard rig is 50' - 2" with a 12 ft boom. It's 9' - 7 1/2" from the bottom of the mast to the bottom of the goose neck. So you can run a tape up the spinnaker halyard and measure to the bottom of goos neck and figure from there.

This thread references the MK II boats but does the 13' boom apply to the MK I too? My boat had a new Doyle Stack Pack on it when I bought it last year and I would really like to add a new 155% Genoa for racing.
