What is this cable for?

Ok, let play what is this cable used for. It runs from my nav station up into the Navpod that houses my Raymarine C80 chart plotter.  The other end has the same connector which what the strange part. The C80 doesn’t have a connection that takes that style of connector.  If anyone knows why the dealer would install this cable I would appreciate any help on this subject.

Raymarine Pathfinder HSB Cable.  Maybe there used to be a radar unit on the pedestal and this cable carried repeater data to a 2nd display at the nav station?

I do have radar on the boat and it is connected directly to the C80 MFD. The MFD doesn’t have an outlet for this connector and that is what got me puzzled.

Id go with Nicks radar idea. I had an old  Raymarine monochrome radar display that looked much like a small TV. It had a plug that looked like that. They may have just left the wiring in there for future re purposing, when they upgraded to a C80 chartplotter, which I also have. A 2001 model now also considered a dinosaur.

Yup.  The only use for that cable is for a repeat display.  My assumption is the boat used to have stand-alone Pathfinder Radar with a repeater in the Nav station, the displays were decommissioned,, and the C80 is now a integrated display for both radar and GPS.
