Water heater hoses,(domestic)

Has anyone had problems with the inlet and outlet hoses on the Seaward water heater? Mine don't seem to last very long without softening and dripping. The originals were the clear, reinforced and they softened and basically self-destructed. I switched to automotive heater hoses and although better, they don't really hold up well either.
Anybody know of something better?

I've had excellent results using Trident 250 series hose. Shields also makes a 250 series that is comparable.

I switched out to Silone hose over5 years ago and all has been well. Got it from a company that uses it on fire trucks.
