I'm write to the company but i have no return about my question

Molly,
I have heard of NO failures of any turnbuckles on any C36 boats. Most items from Garhauer on our boats are over-built, and all Garhauer parts come with an unconditional 10 year guarantee. If that is the only "fault" you see with the '96 C36, then buy it right away!

It's not brass. If it was it would be gone by now. It is chrome plated bronze or just plain bronze. Brass does not ever belong on a boat because of galvanic corrosion - it just rots in a saltwater environment. See: [url]http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10...
