Support boat at warf

Hello, does anybody know what the best way is to support a Catalina 36 mk 1 when hauled out and standing outside? I suppose it has to stand mainly om the keel with slight support from four supporting bars ( don't know the proper english word for it), two on each side. My boat namely developed the famous Catalina smile at the front side of the keel during standing outside the last months. And I guess this is also caused by the heavy support on these supporting bars at the back so to speak. Also the hull is bent inside at these two points. Are there specific places in the hull where to support the boat when standing outside on shore?

Kind regards,

Go to page 56 of the owners' manual for the Mark I.   There youll find is a diagram of the locations for lifting and for the stands while the boat is out of the water. You can get the manual by going to the "members" tab, then to "technical artic;es", then "manuals".   Here's a direct link:

Floris, the term is jack stand.  I use two at the bow, two immediately behind the keel and two about 2 meters behind pair at the keel.  There are chains the lock into slot and connect the pairs so they don't kick out.  There should be light pressure on the boat hull.  These are to balance the boat, not actively lift the boat.  Look up on you tube Brownell Boat Stands.  The keel should hold the vast majority of the boat weight.  Also look in you tube boat stand failures to understand how mis placed stands, stands that are not chained in pairs or jack stand bases placed on soft ground can sink, causing boat weight to shift and lead to tipping over.  I prefer jack stands to a cradle as you can carefully move these for painting hull.  Look on the internet or contact boat yards to look for used jack stands.
Best to you.
Best to you.
