Roller furling device stuck in Charleston Spar mast

The swivel block  that travels up the inside of the mast and carries the top of the sail with it, is stuck inside the mast just above the mast opening. I had the swivel block temporarily suspended at this point on the main halyard while I dealt with a jammed line on the continuous screw portion of the furler system. I had to apply significant rotational force to the line stuck on the continuous screw to free the line. When I returned to the swivel block, it was now stuck just a above the opening. I have tried removing the nose piece on the swivel block that keeps it from spinning and loosened the three set screws on the middle portion of the device to try and align the top of the device with the middle of the device so they will both travel up the extruded pole in the mast but these two pieces are unable to rotate separately. I can jiggle the piece, but it seems like the top and the middle of the swivel block should be able to rotate separately enabling proper alignment, however, I cant seem to free the two top portions of this device from each other.whew...
Note: The continuous screw and the vertical pole in the mast rotate fully.
Any help or schematics of the device would be greatly appreciated....

As an update. I was able to lower the swivel blok with light taps and lubrication. I now discovered I had sheared off the keyway that transferred rotational force from the extruded tube inside the mast to the swivel block....
Tracking parts down now...too much force is bad.
