I just wanted to update the group as to the drum replacement on our Schaefer 2100 series found on many Catalina 36’s. In 2003, we redesigned our 2100 drum (as well as our 1100 and 3100) removing the Stainless Steel “C” clips to a strictly machined part. This eliminated the issue of not being able to get water to flush through the drum easily. In addition, we added two flushing holes to the drum that are easily accessible. To alleviate any in-field problems, we have a drum replacement policy allowing owners to purchase a new drum for $130.00. This new drum will fit directly in place of the old one. It takes approximately 90 minutes to do the conversion.
