Hi,
My new to me C36 came with a Raymarine Pathfinder plus RL70C (This is an HSB2 , Raymarine unit, not a Raytheon unit). The software on it is the original v1.08. I was told by raymarine tech that the latest version is 4.11 and that version will solve several minor problems the display (and system) is having.
The issue is Raymarine does not sell the software upgrade card anymore and I have to disconnect my display and send it back to the repair center to be upgraded (90$ plus).
I wonder if anyone here has the card with the software upgrade that is willing to sell or share?
Just though I would give it a try before I send it to Raymarine.
Thanks

My boat came with one of those units. I sold it on Craigslist rather than try to maintain out of date Ray stuff. Not much help, but I did note that there was a good market for this stuff and you could possibly upgrade for not a ton of extra cost.

My boat also came with an RL70C. It might have also had the upgrade card -- let me look around for it when next I'm aboard, within a week or two.
Jason is right -- I've discovered looking around the used market that I could sell my Raymarine hardware (plotter plus radome plus cables) for around $1500-$2000. A new plotter with radome is about $2400 from Defender. If you're willing to spend the time uninstalling / installing yourself, not a bad deal to upgrade (although you'll also have to spend some additional money if you want to link old instruments/autopilot to the new plotter).
