hello again, has anyone else read the article in the jan/feb issue of Good Old
Boat about the galvanic isolator the author made for his boat for $60.00. the
article is technicaly over my head but if they work why doesn't every boat
have one. i would gladly pay $200.00 for one if it will protect my underwater
precious metals. any comments?

Most better new boat do come with them . I put one on my boat and it was not too expensive but do not remember what it was. Easy to install

I put one on my boat - $300 - and I still have zincs rapidly disappearing, so it's not a guaranteed solution.
We're still trying to track down the stray corrosion leak with a silver-chloride half-cell. Not easy.
