no hot water at sink when running engine

I do not get hot water at the sink when motoring. I was sure that I used to.
Could there be something that I should be looking at?
1988 36 hull 861 with a 25xp motor. I also want to get instructions on replacing my water heater. Will I need to drill out the teak plugs and take out the cabinets?

I has the same issue recently with my engine overheating and no hot water. The thermostat tested ok. I purged all possible air bubbles...still had same symptoms.
Here's where my problem was....in the water heater loop there are 2 small 3/8inch hoses coming off the engine that are connected to the larger 5/8 water heater hoses by a flanged adaptor. I took off the small hoses and could not blow air or water through the remainning 5/8 inch hose....there was crud blocking the flow at one of the adaptors. I cleaned the fitting out and cycled clean water thru the water heater loop 5 times before the water was clean, then pumped coolant thru the loop and connected the hoses.

All is well with my engine temp and have hot water from the engine. Hope this helps.
