MK I Ladder Latch Cleanup

Just a little tip I found for cleaning up the ladder latches on my MK I. After several years in the sun, the rubber coating that protects the ladder from scratches tends to wear off & makes it look unsightly. I use a product called Plastic Dip which is mostly used for putting a plastic coating on tool handles. It's available at Home Depot in the paint department. Just clean off any old coating and dip it in. About 3 dips seems to give the right buildup and makes the latch look like new again. I find it lasts 3-4 years. I happened to be doing it today, so I thought I'd share it with the group. I'm not sure if the MK II has the same kind of latch or not. Here's a pic....
