Has anyone used a setting other than 18 degrees (9.2 pitch) on a 15 inch Max-Prop (3 blade)?
18 degrees seems to be the recommendation from PYI but I am curious to see if anyone is set at another blade angle to dial the boat in.
Thanks,

I have the same prop and did try 20 degrees one summer. As I could only get up to 2500 rpm at WTO (wide open throttle) I have the m35a for the diesel and it would over heat if I ran it to fast as it was working it to hard. So I hope this helps. 18 degrees is in my mind the correct setting also as it is where it is set now.

Just as a "close out" post...
The prop is now installed on the boat.
18 degrees on the 15" 3 blade "Classic" was the setting I used and it was spot on. I am getting the same speed in foward (read same speed at a cruising rpm) as I was with the fixed prop. I can say the reverse is night and day difference with the Max Prop. Not all, but a very significant amount - estimate 90%, of the prop walk was eliminated along with addition of much more bite/power.
I have not been able to sail the boat yet so I can't speak to the sailing perfomance of the prop.
Thanks again for confirming the setting.
