I have been suspect of my starter for some time and may replace it on spec. I have run across some geared starters that would provide more torque for starting. Most newer cars have this type starter, it allows the starter motor to run at a much higher rpm to increase torquw. Masco lists a unit for the Universal 25XP for $249. They also list one for the Kabota D950 for $129.50 I have asked them to tell me what the difference is since they are both Kabota D950 engines. They also show geared starters for the four cylinder Universal/Kubota engines
Has anyone had any experience with these geared starters?
