Galley Cupboard Upgrade

The cupboards on the C375 were pretty empty when we first got it.
One had a shelf, but the others were empty. To improve the functionality of the cupboard, we have designed some shelving to suit our requirements.

Step One: Spend some time thinking about what needs to go into the cupboard and how best to use the space.

Step Two: Make up a cardboard template of the shelving. Using cardboard allows it to be easily trimmed up and adjusted before the final version is made.

Step Three: Cut and form up the plastic. I did not glue it together until I had fitted it to the cupboard, to make sure it was just right.

Key features:
1. Plates and bowls need to be stable and not move around while sailing. To achieve this, the bowls sit in a hole. Small stainless rods stop the plates siding forward, with the bowls holding them at the back.

2. Plenty of space for the cups, with a lip to prevent them failing over.

3. Some hanging space for the wine glasses.

A series of photos are attached that show the development of the shelving.
