I just replaced mine...sort of. Shaefer no longer makes the original replacement bearings for the 2000. But you're still in luck because they have made an adapter kit that allows the 2100 bearings to be used on a 2000 furler. It costs between $413 and $450 dollars, depending on who you talk to over at Shaefer. Works like a charm.
Sure beats paying thousands of dollars for a new furler!

I did the same replacement recently.. Huge improvement. New one has flushing ports so you can rinse out the salt and dirt.
