Checkout the technical library for autopilot. On Page 4, Larry Brandt has a good read on installing a below deck pilot. Not a EV 200 but the drive units I bet are the same.

I just installed one last season. Used the install from Larry, as suggested above. Works great so far! It'll take some fiddling, but I couldn't come up with any better installation strategy, after spending several hours down there.

We laid it out on the deck to get the proper alignment and mounting on the swim platform.
Note it does restrict the amount of rudder travel a bit. I used the outer most hole in the arm on the rudder. Wondering if the innermost holes would give back some travel. It's only an issue if I need to turn in the turning basin at the marina.
