Engine mounts

Hello all,

I am digging in to replacing the exhuast riser on our m25XP with one of the kits from Catalina Direct and am falling into the "well, while we have her apart why don't we...itis".

Since we have the original motor mounts that are looking pretty rusted, corroded and worn, I thought it would be a good time to go ahead and replace the mounts too. I have read in the previous posts that the Vetus 75 has been a good replacement choice and essentially is an upgrade to the Universal OEM part sold on Catalina Direct. My question is for anyone that has intsalled the Vetus 75 mounts are you still happy with the Vetus choice?  Did you see have challenges with installation or have you run into any issues since they have been installed? From a few discussions on the forum, it sounds like it is a no brainer as they seem better and are less expensive.I just wanted to see if any of these opinions have changed.

I have not had a chance to search the technical resources on the site for this info yet, but has anyone recently purchased the length of exhaust hose from the aqualift muffler to the through hull at the stern on a 1989 or similar Catalina 36? I am measuring approximately 20 feet.

I appreciate your help!

John
