Deck light

New member, purchased a 2004 c36 MK II. Just noticed deck light is missing its bulb. What type and size do I need?

Do you know if you have the standard Aqua Signal Series 25 lights that most Catalinas seem to have? If so it is a 20 watt halogen bulb I believe the base is called a bayonet base. They are available from most chandlery's, Ancor makes one.
This link shows what you need:

Also a new owner here of 1991 36 Mk I. Deck light is not working, hoping it's just burned out. Anyone know if this is the same bulb as the Mk II? I looked through the manual and did not see any bulb listings.

We had a 1990 Catalina 28 before this boat, it had exactly the same nav lights as our 36 does. Bulbs are identical. While I can't say conclusively, I think that unless some previous owner has changed the steaming/deck light, it is an Aqua Signal Series 25 and will be same bulb.

Last Toy,

Over the years Catalina and/or the dealers installed a variety of different vendors' fixtures. Most prominent were Aqua Signal Series 25 and Forespar for the combo deck steaming light.

Before you go any further, grab a West Marine catalog or look them up online and using your binoculars, find out what fixture you have. Finding the right bulb is easy once you know the fixture manufacturer, 'cuz that information's in the catalog, too.

I went through all this when we first bought our boat in 1998. Don't rely on us, 'cuz we don't own your boat!
