Bilge pump replacement questions

I'm replacing my old Jabsco 1750 bilge pump and float switch with a Rule 1100. The new pump has a built in float switch. The manual hookup is an easy connection of the new pump's brown/white positive wire and the black ground wire to the existing wires from the old pump. The old float switch, however, had two black wires that apparently went to the automatic switch. The new float has only one brown wire. Where do I connect the brown wire? Are either of the two old wires in and out of the old float switch positive leads to the automatic switch? Should I connect the new single, brown automatic wire from the new pump to either or both of the old float switch wires? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Roland - According to the wiring diagram that I sketch on paper - It will not be pssible to have the same Auto/Manual setting that the original pump had. This is because you will not be able to turn on the pump manually by flipping the switch that is on the circuit breaker panel. If you can open the pump and and extract the wire that connects the pump to the switch that is probably inside the container - then it would be pssible to have the same features. If you need a diagram of this I will be happy to draw one and send it to you.

I would very much like to see the diagram. The manual side of the bilge pump switch on the control panel does turn the pump on when I test it. The auto side of the control panel switch used to run through the old float pump and was activated when the bilge water caused the float switch to complete the circuit. The new pump has an internal switch that too is activated when the bilge water reaches a certain height. The installation instructions say that the brown auto wire from the new pump should be run to the auto side of the control panel switch. I had wondered if the wire from the old float switch (already attached to the control panel auto switch) would serve as an attachment for the auto wire from the new pump. Please do send me the diagram sketch.
