Battery charging.

Question about battery charging. I went down to the boat to check on it a few days ago and noticed that my AC power light was extinguished. Learned soon after that it was disconnected from the dock. I think the marina did it due to the huge winds we had. Once I reconnected it at the dock and selected the AC power and Charger breakers to ON, the voltmeter on the panel showed both the starter battery and house bank as sightly into the red (over charging) domain. This was with both battery selectors ON and OFF. Either state showed no appreciable difference. The ProNautic charger we have showed all green lights with 14.4 volts and about 4.2 amps.
Thoughts? There was little if any draw on the batteries. And all three batteries were (I believe - not at the boat now) strong and charged. Is this a "quick charge" state and how long would it normally take to drop into the Green "charged" state again while still connected to shore power? I had to leave the boat for a week so I just off the AC breaker and turned off the batts.
It’s on a 2000 Catalina 36 MKII.

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. Get a hand held voltmeter. Measure the resting voltage. Turn on the battery charger and measure the initial charge voltage then wait 30 minutes and measure again. The initial charge volage should be around 14.2 to 14.4.
