Do they add or subtract from your handicap if you have bikinis on board? Seems like they are a popular option at that regatta.:D

Years ago it was very popular to flash the comittee boat as you finished and have water cannons and water balloons for the competittion. But it became so unpopular to the stuffed shirts that now all these things are grounds for DSQ.

Shoulda had a huge committee boat and sell seats on it for a fundraiser, if those bikinis were the flashers it would be a sellout for sure!

This one will go done as one of the most epic regattas ever. Saturday was a down wind start with 25 to 30 knots wind. We hit the line and popped the kite and went for a fantastic ride hitting 9 knots in 2ft chop. After rounding the leeward mark we found ourselves in 2nd place behind a Benny 461. Then it got nasty, rain so hard I put on my swim mask. We saw 40 knots aparent wind and due to the rain could not see any other boats. It cleared up at the windward mark and we were still 5 boat lenghts behind the Benny for our spinaker run to the finnish. We ended up within less than a minute behind the big boat so we corrected out ahead.
Sunday was a completely different story. Started the race in 5 knots of wind. The course was basically a 12 mile upwind race. the wind slowly built up during the race and we finished 5 minutes behind the Benny. The overall results will be posted at the party in Miami next weekend. Pictures coming soon at http://www.imagesbymarco.com/p347385998
