Not the best way to make the cover of Rolling Stone.

I wonder if he had the covers off the dodger windows he may have seen approaching danger? Sounds like he may have been sailing blind in multiple contexts.

Nah, then we'd miss that famous Frost humour and that would be a bummer for sure!

The last picture in that sequence is probably not the way you want to become famous. Not a good look at all.

Bummer, but it appears ths may have been totally preventable.

I'm looking forward to my first singlehanded journey from San Diego to Catalina, and will hopefully not end up the same way.

Poor old Stephen must've been asleep or blurry eyed for a long time to end up on Laguna Beach while on a straight run (motorsailing) from San Diego to Catalina (80nm). Laguna Beach is approx 30nm east of Catalina.
