My first Garhauer experience

I moved my boat to a new marina, and the cleat set up is a lot different than where I was berthed before.
I felt a midship cleat was the answer, which I ordered from Garhauer.
The product arrived in less time than I expected, and the quality of the workmanship appears to be stellar.
My next purchase will be the kayak racks.

I generally like their products also (price and quality are competitive)

Blair you will love the racks. They open up the side decks and don't interfere with the genoa sheeting.

I just ordered them.

how does the kayak actually mount to the rack? the picture in the catalog isn't very good. i was also thinking of covering my kayak with canvas. besides having a cover made, does anyone know of a company that sells kayak covers?

Blair. We have 2 necky sky (poly/plastic) kayaks mounted on gaurhar racks. We have covers for each kayak's cockpit to keep rain etc out and our paddles pumps etc in and i give them a wipe of wax every year. In the winter i tuck the kayaks in our garage. Five years old and other than a few scratches the finish is good. I can launch each kayak in minutes our kayaks have a 10 ft bow and stern rope and that is lead thru the eye on each rack and around the stanchion. we sail a catalina 30 (for sale ) in the gulf islands bc Tom
