I offered to take a lady at work sailing on her B Day in a couple of weeks, and she asked if she could bring some girlfriends. Of course i said yes, and today she informed me the the head count is gonna be 7 girls and one other dude. At first i was like, YEAH, but then i started to wonder what is the capacity of a C36MKII?

You will not have a weight issue but, the cockpit gets pretty crowded if the wind blows with more than five or six aboard, not nessacerily dangerous just uncomfortably crowded. If they are newbies to boating and some escape below, you may find some turning green.
If you tell them you are going to wear your thong it will likely thin the crowedat least the " one dude".

Officially, since yachts over 20 ft. long don't have capacity plates, there is a formula established by the Coast Guard for determining the safe capacity.
Length X Width / 15. Rough estimate for our boats....36 X 11 / 15 = 26 people! I have personally had 23 on-board and it was quite crowded. Thankfully it was light air so nobody was lost overboard! Just make sure you have life jackets for eveyone! The more the merrier doesn't always apply!
