In preparation for a future project I need to relocate the water pump on our 2002 Mk2. Since the pump is original equipment I’m considering replacing it with a new pump. I’ve heard the old pump model has been discontinued. Has anyone thats installed a new pump recommend a replacement?
Thanks,
Ray

I think when we last replaced ours, maybe half a dozen years ago, we went with a Shurflo 2GPM pump. Seems to be ample capacity. There are lots of choices in the market.

Oberdorfer make a perfect replacement of really good quality and are very helpful.
If you search the archives you will find a lot of info.

Ray;
A Flo-Jet 4405-143 is what we are using. It's working out very well after 4 years of operation. About $135.00
