Purchase considerations

I am thinking of buying a;
2009
375
shoal keel

are their any nagging problems with these boats that need particular attention?
the one I am looking at has OEM standing and running rigging.
OEM mattresses and cushions.
i don't think anything has been updated in clouding sails or electronics.
thanks in advance for any opinions.

If its the original rigging, you should plan on doing some replacement work in the near future.  It is probably near the end of its life.  That said, if you know it going in, it can be planned for.

I have checked with the local rigger. They want 11 thousand to do it. That's not counting 4 grand for the running rigging.
ouch.
i am also looking for a folding prop. I hear flex o fold is a good reasonably priced prop. Does anyone have one and know the model number?
thanks

There is a good thread about folding props on here already.  If you do a search for it you should ifnd it.

Whether to replace the standing rigging is a difficult issue.  We were told it should be done every 10 years.  Of course, that depends on how it has been used.  We had our rigging inspected regularly over 20 years and it always came back as safe.  After surviving Hurricane Ian, both riggers who inspected the rigging were impressed on its condition but recommended it be replaced because of the obvious stress it went through.  We had it done in the slip for approximately $8000.00, including upgraded turn buckles.  To have the boat pulled and have the mast removed would be an additional $3,000.

I was also quoted another 4 k for the running rigging
75 a foot to bottom paint.
folding prop 2500.
new sails for 7
a good going through the engine at least 1500.
that would leave electronics upgrade
and any other stuff it needs.
My broker says insurance will be a killer here in Florida.
