G'day team
I dread to say it but I think my M25 has just died.
was coming into our mooring the other night and the engine while idling just stopped. No loud bang or smoke, it just stopped.
We had been running it for the majority of the day and I had just replaced a raw water hose, the zinc and the impeller, engine stayed below 160f and had great water flow all day.
Tried to restart, just the clicking of the starter motor no crank. Batteries at 12.8 and good voltage to the new starter motor that installed 3 months ago.
The next morning I checked the oil which was a bit over half. Checked the transmission and checked the prop shaft spinning when out of gear. So then I tried to turn the flywheel.... with a large wrench, won't budge!!! It's going to be 2/3 weeks before my mechanic can even look at it but what do you all think? Is she cactus? Rebuild it? Get a rebuilt one? Get a new one?
Thanks in advance everyone!!!

Try the compression release ever when turning the flywheel with a wrench. I don't have the engine manual in front of me, but I'm pretty sure there's a compression release lever on the M25.

Is it possible that your new starter seized? I would think that would cause the flywheel to not turn if the decompression does not work.
